Our Garden FRUIT and BASIL JELLIES have intense colours and flavours. They are made from fresh fruit grown in our own garden or harvested in local wild fields. Our Garden is all about flavour. In order to capture the fresh, full flavour of our products, we keep the filtering process to a minimum. Thus you may find that some of our jellies have traces of pulp or flecks of basil leaf. You will also discover that our jellies and jams have an intense natural colour to go along with the intense flavour. This is because we are careful to preserve the integrity of the living plant during processing. We never add artificial colour or flavour to any of our products. We don’t mix products either, because we want you to enjoy the true taste of the fruit or herb. We want you to be as proud to serve our products, as we are to offer them to you. Over the years we have honed our basil jellies to the blends most appreciated by you, our customer. We have three basil jellies as listed below. If you want to experience their unique tastes, drop by the Farmer's markets (see locations) in the summer - we have samples.
Our Garden Jellies are made from naturally harvested authentic Manitoulin Island fruit and herbs.

Our Garden RUBY BASIL JELLY is created from two varieties of purple leafed basil with just a hint of... well, we're not telling. The distinctive burgundy colour is all natural and the flavour is full-bodied with a hint of anise.
Our Garden GARNET BASIL JELLY is created from several varieties of Thai basil with a lovely flavour of anise and basil combined. The garnet gem colour is all natural and it makes a great complement to any Asian cooking.
Our Garden AMBER BASIL JELLY, our newest addition to the basil family, has a wonderful spicy flavour that makes it comparable to a pepper jelly but much tastier.
USES of BASIL JELLIES: Perfect on a party tray with crackers and cheeses, as a glaze on pork, chicken, lamb or fish and great as a sandwich spread - even on toast. The Ruby Basil Jelly makes a great mix as a substitute for sugar in cranberry sauce and a delicious alternative to BBQ sauce on a steak or ribs. The Amber Spice goes great on smoked fish or is ideal spread over nut butter or pate. Basil jellies are delicious in a stir fry, mixed with our vinegars to make vinaigrettes for salads or steamed vegetables. See recipes on Vinegar page.
